The Myle Cars Team Completes The Kiltwalk

On Sunday 28 April, the Myle Cars team took part in The Kiltwalk, a trek that starts in Clydebank and finishes on the picturesque shores of Loch Lomond.

However, this was no leisure walk. The Myle Cars team and the thousands of other participants (over 14,000 to be exact) were walking in support of a wide range of different charitable causes.

Last year, Myle Cars partnered with the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, and so we decided to do The Kiltwalk in aid of this incredible organisation.

We already donate 5% of our annual profits towards the charity, but we wanted to go one step further and raise funds to support the vital work they do in our community.

Ahead of the event, we set up a JustGiving page and encouraged all of our customers, friends and families to donate. We manage to raise £720 for the charity, which will go towards new equipment, treatments and activities for kids in healthcare.

Myle Cars Managing Director Dan Cook said: “We were absolutely delighted with the opportunity to take part in the The Kiltwalk. The team and I knew it would be a challenge but given that it was for such a worthy cause, we didn’t hesitate for a second. We’re thrilled to have raised funds for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and it’s an honour to know that the money will go towards children and families who need it the most.”

Community is at the heart of what we do at Myle Cars, which is why forging links and maintaining relationships with organisations like the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is so important.
